Also on Sunday the 27th March 2022, a second team were in action, this time on Merseyside for the Liverpool Half Marathon and 10 Miler ! Four of our Motos attended, two leading the races and the others maintaining the road closures and dealing with anything and everything. About 3000 runners started the run near the iconic Pier Head proceeding through the famous Chinatown Archway, the lovely Sefton Park and along the riverside back to the finish.
After leading the winner round the course at speed our Moto Neil slowed right down and escorted a very brave lady 'running' the course in a wheelchair.....not one of those purpose designed racing chairs but an ordinary wheelchair, .......what a hero......greatest of respect to her.....she made it over the finishing line. She and many others raising many thousands of pounds for the various charities,
The races were organised as usual by Alan Rothwell of BTR LIVERPOOL EVENTS, it was great to be involved with his events again. We were also very happy to be working alongside Merseyside Police Motorcycle Section again. Some really great guys who treat us as equals and always very friendly. So a few photos to show what we do.
